Leukemia

Leukemia is cancer of the blood cells. It starts in the bone marrow, the soft tissue inside the bones. Bone marrow is where the blood cells are made. Due to leukemia, the white blood cells abnormally increase. These increasing white blood cells are not fully developed and are called leukemia cells. Due to increase in white blood cells, it affects the normal blood cells. This will lead to problems like bleeding, fever, tiredness. It can spread to other organs also.

There are mainly four types of leukemia.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML).
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)

The different causes of leukemia to be believed are Smoking, Radiations, some Chemicals (benzene), even prior chemotherapy and hereditary factors. Normally Acute leukemia normally gets worse very fast and may make you feel sick suddenly. Chronic leukemia normally gets worse slowly and may not cause symptoms for years mostly. There are common leukemia such as Hairy cell leukemia, T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia, Adult T-cell leukemia.

Diagnosis can be done by the Repeated blood counts and bone marrow examination. Can take X-ray, MRI or ultrasound to know the effects on the bone or different organs in the body.

Abhyangam

It is a whole body massage with special herbal oils.

Siropichu

Specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lumbar regions with a herbal paste boundary.

Vamanam

Medically induced Vomiting.

Virechanam

Medically induced Purgation.
